Hi everyone! Hope you've been staying warm in this winter chill we've been having this week. I'm not a fan of the cold and am always trying to stay warm by adding on winter accessories such as hats, gloves, and scarves. My ears and hands are always the first things to get cold so it's an absolute must for me to wear earmuffs/hats and gloves when I'm out and about. You can't tell from these pics but I'm super annoyed at myself for leaving my gloves in the car.

Stay warm. Xo.

Happy Friday everyone! There are days when I get lazy with outfits and what I'll do is switch out a shirt/pants to "change" it up a bit. I wore a similar outfit like today's on a previous post, except I wore a mint green sweater underneath the blazer. Wearing existing pieces in my closet again and pairing them differently against another color makes me feel like I'm getting my moneys worth on it. Anything to justify a purchase;)

Have a great weekend. Xo.

Crisp

Now that Spring is here, some of the colors I associate this new season with is crisp white and classic khaki. There's something very simple yet timeless about pairing white and khaki together that will never go out of style. Streamlining the look by staying within the the same color palettes can elevate these basic colors into something very crisp and chic

On another note, Refinery29 DC featured my Stripes Reversed outfit yesterday and you can see the street style post HERE:)

Have a great rest of the week! Xo.

Happy Friday everyone! Since I'm pretty much in love with these coated jeans I decided to wear it again but with a simple (and bright) top. Nothing like injecting a bit of sunshine yellow to your Friday, right?;)

Last night, I had the the pleasure of meeting the curators behind Gilt City DC at a dinner they hosted at Brasserie Beck for some DC bloggers. It was a fantastic time getting to know them and other DC bloggers over several courses spoiled by the Chef. They are kicking off their warehouse sale starting today (lasts until tomorrow) which is basically a good excuse for fashion lovers to shop their favorite designer brands at a very discounted price. Who doesn't love that?

Have a great weekend! Xo.

Happy first day of Spring everyone! Although today is the official first day, the weather still has a bit of a winter chill to it. Until the temperatures begin to rise and the sun starts to shine brighter, you will find me wearing either a light sweater or my new favorite coated Rag and Bone jeans. I have been wearing them non stop since I bought them and probably will try to get much use out of these new favorites before it's time to take out shorts from the closet;)

Have a great week rest of the week. Xo.

Happy post election day! Hope your week is going more smoothly than mine. A couple of days ago I started having intense pain on my bottom molar tooth which prompted me to go to my dentist immediately to find out that I have an infection in my nerve. I don't know about you but this is the first time I've ever experienced a toothache this bad and had no idea how much it can affect your daily routine. It hurts to chew (I've been on a liquid diet the last couple of days, ugh) and it pretty much puts me in a sour mood. I have to get a root canal done tomorrow which somehow worked out because today is the first day of my week long staycation. In the meantime, the dentist put me on a pain med which has pretty much been the BEST. THING.EVER. I never thought I'd be saying that because I encounter drug addicts from time to time at work but good grief this stuff really is wonderful. On the flip side of things, since I'm off from work for a week I can at least get the procedure done and rest w/o it interfering with work. Glass half full.

Have a great rest of the week and I'll talk to you soon. Xo.

Mixing Prints

About a month ago, I decided to take the plunge and buy this leopard print scarf I've been eyeing for the past year. It came with a hefty price tag but it's been something I've been wanting to buy for over a year. It's luxuriously soft, the animal print is so chic, and I see it as something that will rotate in my closet for many years. Scarves are such a great accessory to have in general because they can uplift an outfit from plain to interesting and this one will easily become a favorite of mine that will do so.

I'm usually not one to mix prints in my outfits but I thought it would be fun to go outside my comfort zone this time to try mixing my new purchase with this polka dot blouse. I wanted to keep things somewhat uniform and not go too crazy with mixing prints which is why I chose the color black to be the common factor, along with wearing leopard shoes.

Readers, do you have any fun ways of mixing prints in your wardrobe?
