Now that summer is right around the corner, I am gravitating towards monochromatic all-white looks, especially a summery white dress. Wearing it with a tanned skin (need to work on mine), and gold accessories is the ultimate fresh look I absolutely love.

Have a great weekend. Xo.

Cut Out

Jeans-Rag & Bone

I love unexpected updates to an otherwise conventional clothing item such as a simple button down blouse. The cut outs on the sleeves make it perfect to wear for either date night or a girls night out with your dearests. The blouse is sexy with out it being too revealing but most importantly, the color pairings are also a friendly reminder to myself that Spring is right around the corner:)

Have a great rest of the week. Xo.

Stripes, leather detailing, leopard print, and a new pair of Rag & Bone jeans are pretty much all of my absolute favorite things. I wore this outfit this past Monday to take me from running errands to meeting up with my best girlfriends for dinner at Cava Mezze and everything in between.

Hope you're staying warm. Xo.

Fall Colors

Shoes-Stuart Weitzman

The drop in temperature the past couple of days is a welcoming change for the new season. I tend to gravitate towards Fall colors such as browns, burgundies, and grays which is what I wanted to incorporate into this outfit. The cropped sweater is also a perfect transition into Fall because of its soft, thick material and versatility of using it as a layering piece. Xo.

Hi everyone! Hope you've been enjoying the gorgeous humidity free weather we've been having the past couple of days. This outfit was inspired by the cotton candy skies I've been seeing lately and for some reason, wearing this color palette and soft, flowy blouse is very soothing to me. Work has been super busy and a bit stressful so I welcome anything that has a calming effect.

Have a great rest of the week. Xo.

Hi everyone! After getting a lovely blowout from Blowout BarDC over the weekend, I took that as the perfect excuse to dress up a little before going out to take full advantage of my fresh, bouncy curls. I think I need to learn how to recreate these curls, no?;)

Have a great rest of the week! Xo.

Sherlock Holmes

Happy Friday! Are you ready for the weekend as much as I am? This coat I'm wearing on the blog today will be a constant fixture this weekend while I run errands during the day because it's the perfect cover over a plain Jane outfit. If you haven't noticed already, I have a mild obsession with coats/jackets and I just couldn't resist buying this coat when I first saw it hanging beautifully on the racks. It has the softest texture to it and the cut of the coat gives it so much character. Every time I put it on, it makes me feel like I'm Sherlock Holmes;)

Have a wonderful, wonderful weekend. Xo.

Hi everyone! I'm back from my trip to Costa Rica and am (sorta) ready to get back into the groove of things. The weather was absolutely perfect to walk around in (low 80's) over there and coming back to cloudy yet surprisingly mild temperatures yesterday was a wake up call that my vacation is sadly over. Womp womp.

Since Valentine's day is in a couple of days, I have reds and pinks on my mind. I put together this quick and simple outfit together on my way to meet a friend for an early dinner yesterday. After being in mostly flip flops and sneakers during my trip, it feels good to be back in heels. I know, most girls would probably be more comfortable the other way around but hey, I was born in heels.

Thanks for being patient with my blog while I was away. I actually have a cute and simple recipe post coming up tomorrow just in time for Valentines day, so please visit again tomorrow!

Talk to you soon. Xo.

Weekend Snapshots

This weekend I....

1. Received most of the things I ordered online and in-store while shopping in NYC. I wanted to avoid the crazy high tax in NYC so I shipped the pricey purchases to my home haha. I'm waiting on one more box and that should be the end of it. I went on a bit of a shopping spree over the holidays and I have officially put myself on a serious shopping ban for one month. I'm gonna try and see if I can extend it to two months. Really. Wish me luck.

2. Two of the items in the big box were two pair of shoes I ordered online. I was hoping that when I received them, they'd be uncomfortable or not as fabulous in person so I could return them after spending so much over the holidays but sadly this is not the case. I love them. The leopard ankle booties from Stuart Weitzman are surprisingly comfortable and well, it's leopard. You know how much I love leopard. There are also gold metal details on the heels which is hard to see on the picture but that chic detail was the topping on the cake. The second pair I bought are going to be my everyday, casual shoes. I've been looking for a pair to casually wear on a daily basis and these Stella McCartney wedge shoes are it for me. I love the color, the warm shearling inside lining, and the wedge heel makes it extremely comfortable to walk around in while running errands and such. Both are keepers.

3. Finally had the chance to sit down and look through one of my new cookbooks I received as a Christmas gift from my photographer bestie. Mexican food is one of my favorite cuisines to eat so I'm looking forward to cook (and share with you) through this book.

4. Started doing some intense cleaning around my place. I don't know if it's a Korean thing but whenever the new year is approaching my mom likes to clean/vacuum out the dust and welcome the new year fresh and clean. I've picked up on this tradition and will be finishing the cleaning today.

5. Met with my friend Mel to catch up over dinner at Matchbox Pizza. We're both big fans of their sliders so that was an obvious item to start off with. I ordered a prosciutto and black mission fig pizza, which was something new to me. It had a great combination of flavors consisting of salty prosciutto, savory gorgonzola, topped with sweet drizzles of black pepper honey, along with bites of peppery arugula. Perfect. We haven't seen each other for about a month so knowing us, I knew we would have lots to catch up on...so much so that our dinner conversation lasted 4.5 hours. You just can't beat that combination of good food and great company.

Hope you had a great weekend. I just wanted to take this time to wish you a happy, healthy, and prosperous new year. This past year has been an amazing and surprising ride with my blog and I'm thankful that you have been part of that journey either through visiting or your sweet comments. I'm looking forward to what 2013 has in store for me and hope you will continue this blogging journey with me. Have a safe and happy new year. Cheers to 2013. Xo.
